    Biker dies after rashly driven SUV hits him in Wadi

    Nagpur: A youth was killed when a speeding Bolero Jeep hit his motorcycle at Ordnance Factory Ambajhari (OFAj) gate on Amravati Road in Wadi Police Station area on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Pawan Arjun Nagose (32), a resident of Siddharth Society, 8th mile, Amravati Road. According to police, Nagose had gone for morning walk early morning.

    After morning walk, he was heading towards home on Yamaha motorcycle (MH-27/AS-4033) at 6 am. The Bolero Jeep (MH30/BD-2270) came from Nagpur in high speed and hit the motorcycle near Defence gate, police said. Nagose sustained grievous head injuries in the mishap. He was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

    The jeep driver Raju Shriniwas Giri (29), a resident of Dhanora Khurd village, Tehsil – Mangarul Pir, District -Washim, was arrested by police and a case under Sections 279, 304 (a) and 427 of IPC was registered byWadi Police
