A 17-teenager was thrashed and later kidnapped by three youths on Sunday under Pratap Nagar Police Station.
Police said, three youths, identified as Rohit Rathod, Kartik Dhawad, and Akshay Wade, all residents of Sitabuldi, approached the teenager Mohit Anil Patil (17) on Sunday around 8.30 pm when he had gone to his friend’s place in Khamla while returning from his tuition classes.
The youths, in fit of rage over old rivalry, started thrashing Mohit and later forcefully took him to Vimaltai Tidke College in a WagonR car. However, the youths fled the area after Mohit’s father reached the college.
On the basis of the complaint by Mohit’s complaint, Pratap Nagar police registered an offence under Sections 363, 323, and 34 of the IPC and booked the youths.
