Two men committed suicide during different means in separate incidents in Kalamna and Hudkeshwar area on Sunday. While the man in Hudkeshwar died after he was found hanging while another passed away while undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital here. Reasons behind ending their lives, in both the cases, could not be ascertained by the cops till filing of the report.
In the first case, Ramu Ratan Hirekhan (30), a resident of Bhandewadi, Pardi Durga Nagar, on Sunday night hanged self to the ceiling of his residence with the help of a rope. His family members found his hanging body and immediately informed Kalamna police. Cops registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations after sending the body to Government Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Another suicide took place under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar police station wherein a youth set himself ablaze on Sunday evening. Chhotu alias Roshan Dilip Shinde (24), a resident of Ladikar layout, near Hanuman Mandir, was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. But after struggling hours, he succumbed to his burn injuries at around 2 am on Monday. Hudkeshwar police registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations.
