Youth stoned to death by two friends over fishing brawl in Futala area; no arrests

DSC_5083Nagpur: A fishy matter led to ghastly murder of youth in Futala area on Tuesday. The youth stoned death by his two friends over a brawl. No arrests have been made so far in this connection.

The victim, Tambi alias Rafil Mondvel Francis Swami (25), resident of Futala Basti, along with his friends Roshan Umesh Sahare (22) and Abhijit Ashok Mate (19), both residents of Futala, had gone to fishing at Chhota Kashmir jungle area near Futala Lake around 3.30 pm on Tuesday. During the fishing, a brawl erupted between Tambi and his two friends. The petty looking dispute took a worst turn when the accused Roshan Sahare and Abhijit Mate attacked Tambi with stones. The accused dealt lusty blows on Tambi’s face and head that left him fatally injured. Within minutes the profusely bleeding Tambi alias Rafil died on the spot. After eliminating Tambi, the accused fled the spot.

The brutal murder of Tambi alias Rafil Mondvel Francis Swami led to tension and panic gripping Futala area. On being informed Ambazari police reached the spot and conducted preliminary investigation. Body of Tambi was sent to GMCH for post-mortem.

Ambazari PSI Jadhav, on the basis of a complaint filed by Deepak Nagorao Ambhore of the same area, booked the two accused Roshan Sahare and Abhijit Mate under Sections 302, 34 of IPC and searching for them.
