Nagpur: An auto driver was killed on the spot and seven passengers were injured when a rashly driven truck rammed the vehicle in MIDC area on Tuesday afternoon. Driver of the killer truck has been booked.
The deceased Bablu alias Murtaza Asif Khan (34), resident of Rajiv Nagar, was taking seven passengers in his auto (MH-31/ CB 1535) towards MIDC area. When the auto reached in front of EMIA office on Central MIDC Road, a speeding truck (MH-31/CB 1535), coming from wrong side, hit the auto with forceful impact. The collision left the auto driver Bablu alias Murtaza dead on the spot and seven passengers injured. The injured passengers were rushed to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital. A complaint was filed by Javed Mustafa Khan in this connection.
MIDC PSI Barad registered an offence against the unidentified accused truck driver under Sections 279, 337, 338, 304(A) of IPC read with Sections 134, 184 of Motor Vehicles Act. The driver of truck has so far not been arrested.
