Youth robbed at knife point, minor among 3 arrested

Nagpur News: Nandanvan police have arrested three youths and detained a minor boy on the charges of robbing a youth at knife point, threatening to kill him and also causing injuries.

According to police, the complainant Ritesh Rajendra Giri (28), resident Plot No.48, Kharbi Road, Mitravihar Nagar, was proceeding to Goswami Dairy Hotel in the area. At the same time, the accused youths Sayyed Irfan Sayyed Chand (23), resident of Macchalipura, Kamptee, Sheikh Assu Sheikh Nasir (24), resident of Hassanbagh, Mohd Salim Mohd Arif (21), residing near Kharbi Raza Masjid and their minor accomplice forcibly entered the Goswami Dairy Hotel and approached Ritesh Giri who was sitting in the hotel. The accused whipped out a knife and attacked Ritesh injuring him. They also took away Rs 500 from his pocket and the food stuff worth Rs 200. And while fleeing the hotel, the accused threatened Ritesh to kill him.

Ritesh reached the Nandanvan Police Station and filed a complaint in this connection. The Nandanvan PSI Choudhari booked the accused under Sections 394, 452, 294, 506 (B) and 34 of IPC. Police succeeded in arresting Sayyed Irfan Sayyed Chand, Sheikh Assu Sheikh Nasir and Mohd Salim Mohd Arif . Police also detained the minor boy.
