    Youth on fake facebook A/c on feminine names to lure girls

    Sends obscene SMS once he gets mobile number

    Nagpur: The Jaripatka Police has arrested a youth for allegedly creating fake identities on feminine names to lure girls. Once girls fall into his trap, the youth used to allegedly send obscene SMS to them. The accused has been identified as Amit Vilas Temburne aged 29 years and a resident of Gaddigodam. The accused is said to be a student of Information Technology (IT).

    The cops laid a trap and asked the victim girl to call the accused for a meeting and arrested him. It is claimed that he used to operate a facebook account in a feminine name of Ashvini Jain and used to lure many girls and later send obscene SMS to them. He had threatened to defame the victim girl among the friends and family members.

    According to Police Sources, the Jaripatka Police personnel arrested the accused Amit Temburne, a resident of Gaddigodam on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. It is alleged that Amit Temburne used to operate a facebook account in a feminine name of Ashvini Jain and used to befriend many girls.

    Became a nightmare for the girls

    It appeared that Amit Temburne alias Ashvini Jain awaited some girl to befriend and then send them these obscene messages SMS. Amit Temburne on a fake identity of Ashvini Jain used to send so many obscene messages that the girls used to hassled.

    He had succeeded in befriending a girl living in Nari Road and used to regularly send obscene SMS to her from February 12, 2015. Irked by this crude behavior, the victim informed her family relatives. The family and relatives in-turn lodged a police complaint with Jaripatka Police Station. The In-Charge of Jaripatka Police Station, Police Inspector Deepak Khobragade then assured to apprehend the accused soon. Police Inspector Deepak Khobragade asked the victim girl to contact the accused on his phone and ask for a meeting. The accused called the victim to Rani Durgawati Square for the meeting. However, when the victim called the accused to find where he was standing, he shouted at her and called her to Jaripatka for the meeting.

    The accused had been harassing the victim girl from February 27, 2015. He used to threaten her saying that even the cops cannot do anything to him. He went on to threaten the victim that he will get the victim kidnapped by the goons from Gaddigodam and Nara areas. When the victim went to meet the accused on Tuesday the July 7, 2015 in Jaripatka, the cops who were laying in wait for him, arrested him. The Jaripatka police has registered a case against the accused Amit Temburne under sections 354 (3) of Indian Penal Code and under sections 66 (C), 67 of Information Technology Act.
