Youth murdered over money in Jaripatka, 3 arrested

Nagpur News: A 26-year old youth was brutally murdered over money matter in Jaripatka area on Thursday night. Police have arrested three persons in this connection.

According to police, a brawl erupted between the accused Ajay Rajendra Sharma (25), Rajendra Rupnarayan Sharma (48), Singasan Vihas Sharma (55), all residents of Samata Nagar, Taj Colony, Jaripatka and the victim Krushna Balishtar Thakur (Sharma) over some money matter at about 2330 hours of Thursday. The hot exchange of words took an ugly turn when the accused attacked the house Krushna and damaged electric meter, kavelus and wooden wall.

When Krushna came out of his house, the accused trio assaulted him too. However, when Krushna tried to save himself from the attack and run for safety, he fell down. As soon as Krushna fell down, the accused started hitting him with sticks and also attacked him with sharp-edged knife. The accused then fled the spot leaving Krushna bleeding profusely. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital. However, Krushna succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at 0045 hours of Friday.

Jaripatka police, acting on the complaint lodged by Munib Ramdayal Sharma (38), registered an offence under Sections 302, 427, 452, 34 of the IPC against the accused Ajay Rajendra Sharma, Rajendra Rupnarayan Sharma, Singasan Vihas Sharma and arrested them. PSI Hanwate is probing the matter further.
