Youth murdered over love affairs in MIDC

Nagpur: A youth was murdered brutally over love affairs in Rajiv Nagar, MIDC here on Thursday night. The accused, who went absconding after committing the murder, is being hunted.

The deceased has been identified as Bharatsingh Shivnarayan Dhakad (20), native of Gwalior, MP but presently stayed in Rajiv Nagar, MIDC. According to police, Bharatsingh was in love with the sister of the accused Sonusingh Parmendra Singh (22), resident of Rajiv Nagar. The accused, who drives auto-rickshaw, opposed the love affair between his sister and the deceased and had confronted Bharatsingh in the past.

On Thursday around 8 pm, the accused Sonusingh accosted Bharatsingh in front of his house and thrashed him severely. Later, Sonusingh whipped out a gupti-like weapon and stabbed Bharatsingh on his chest and injured him seriously. The profusely bleeding Bharatsingh was taken to nearby Lata Mangeshkar Hospital but doctors declared him dead during the course of treatment. Ironically, the deceased Bharatsingh Dhakad had returned to Nagpur two days back from Gwalior.

After committing the murder the accused Sonusingh went absconding and is being searched by cops.

MIDC PSI Jadhav, based on a complaint lodged by Surendrasingh Shivnarayan Dhakad (30), brother of deceased, has booked the accused under Section 302 of the IPC. Further probe in underway.
