Nagpur: In an audacious act, a 23-year old boy burst into the house of a reputed hotelier and demanded Rs 50,000 as extortion money and threatened to kill him if the demand is not met. The accused has been booked.

The complainant Ankit Nemichand Jain (26), resident of Itwari, near Chhatrapati Shivaji Park, Mehendibagh Road, told police that on Thursday around 10 pm when he was present in his house, the accused Sunny Verma (23), tenant of Santosh Ambekar (name similar to dreaded gangster), Nikalas Mandir, entered his residence forcibly and demanded Rs 50,000 as extortion money saying that he has earned a lot of money at Spot 9 Restro Launge (reputed restaurant in Gokulpeth).
