Nagpur: Nagpur Youth Congress workers today demonstrated under the leadership of Youth Congress President Bunty Shelke, Senior Corporator Praful Guddhe and leader of opposition Tanaji Wanve, outside the NMC Town Hall to cancel the contract of Cybertech Company. They also threatened that they would agitate with people till the contract and demand note are not cancelled.
Property tax has also been most important thing for the common man in Nagpur. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has given the contract of classification to a private company Cybertech and it literally pinching the pocket of common man. There are lot of error in the classification work of property tax done by this company. This company is alleged to be harassing the people. The raised tax is against the rules. The Cybertech Company is not working within the framework and going against rules.
People are wondering as to how the NMC has given this work to the company. During the meeting Praful Guddhe, senior Corporator had given a proposal to stay the demand note but the Mayor is alleged to have overlooked and ended the meeting. Bunty Baba Shelke, Corporator and President of Nagpur Youth Congress said that the people staying in slums have got a demand note of Rs 10,000 to 15000. The amount is ten times more than the actual one. The joint families have been shown as tenants.
Those who participated in the agitation were Corporators Sandip Sahare, Purshottam Hazare, Manoj Gawande, Harshala Sabkle, Nitin Sathone, Kishor Jichkar, parasram Manwatkar, Dinesh Yadav, Pranita Shahane Neha Nikose, Darshani Dhawad, Aisha UIkey, Jishan Mumtaz , Syyed Begam Ansari, Sakshi Raut, Gargi Chopade,Yuvak Congress workers Akshay Ghatole, Rajendra Thakre, Shubham Motghare, Ayaz Sheikh Wasim Sheikh, Fazalur Qureshi, Sagar Chouhan,Shadab Khan, Chandu Wakodikar, Vijay Wanve, Nikhil Balkote and others.
