Nagpur: There seems no end to atrocities against women and girls in the second capital of Maharashtra. On Thursday evening, Gittikhadan police booked a youth for molesting a 13-year-old girl.
According to the police, the complainant had left the house for work leaving her 13-year-old daughter alone in there. The accused Vishal Yogesh Hadke (28), barged into the house, and made indecent gestures to the girl and asked her to marry him. The girl narrated the whole incidence when her mother returned home.
On receiving the complaint of the girl’s mother, Gittikhadan police booked Vishal , a resident of Panchasheel Nagar, and registered an offence under sections 354 read with sub sections 354 (1) (i) (ii) (iv) (2) and (3) Criminal Law Amendment Act 2013 with sub sections 7 and 8 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
