The outrageous incidents of blackmailing girls with their obscene photos and then exploiting them physically with the threat of uploading them on social networking websites are coming to the fore as a routine. Adding another chapter to the heinous crime, an evil-minded youth adopted the same tactics and raped a 27-year old woman. The lewd accused also indulged in unnatural sex with the helpless woman. The accused has not been arrested as yet.
The fanatic accused Ashish Ramesh Chaure (28), resident of Plot No. 166, Dubey Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road, most probably established relationship with the 27-year old woman, resident of Lakadganj. The accused Ashish then slyly clicked some obscene postures of the woman with nefarious designs in his devilish mind. Armed with the photos, the accused started blackmailing the woman and threatened to send the vulgar photos to her relatives. Ashish even threatened to kill the woman’s parents. With these tactics, the accused raped the demoralized woman repeatedly over a period from December 2007 to 11.12.2014. The accused even indulged in unnatural sex with the helpless woman. Fed up with the wicked tactics of accused Ashish, the woman finally registered a case with Lakadganj Police.
In her complaint, the woman said the accused Ashish had clicked her photos and threatened to upload them on social networking websites if she refused fulfill his sexual desires.
PSI Thorat, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Ashish Chaure under Sections 376(2)(A), 377, 506(B) of the IPC and investigating the matter thoroughly.
