Nagpur: A youth was attacked by three accused with sharp lethal weapons in Nandanwan. The victim identified as Sunil Shende aged 26 years and a resident of Nandanwan slums complained to police and alleged that the accused identified as Rakesh alias Bhurya Wankhede aged 27 years and two other co-accused attacked him with lethal weapons.
According to police sources, at around 8:30 pm on June 17, 2015, the victim Sunil Shende was going from his house to Kumbhartoli. When the victim Sunil reached lane No 7 of Nandanwan slums, Rakesh alias Bhurya Wankhede and two other co-accused stopped him. Without any provocation, the accused abused him with vulgar abuses followed by the accused attacking him with lethal weapons injuring the victim.
On receipt of information about the incident, Police Sub Inspector Wankhede of Nandanwan Police Station reached the spot and sent the victim to hospital for treatment while he registered a case against the accused and is investigating further. The police are on the look-out for the absconding accused.
