Nagpur: A youth was seriously injured after he was attacked by a group of men over an old rivalry under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station on Friday.
According to information, Manoj Marotwao Sonekar (25), a resident of Sanjay Nagar, near Ram Nagar, Ambazari was present with Vikas Dhurve and his friend at a pan kiosk at Zenda Square, near Shahid Smarak when a fight broke between him and his friends over some old rivalry. Manoj was hit on the back of his head with an iron rod. The accused then fled the spot leaving a profusely bleeding Manoj.
On the basis of the statement by Manoj, Kotwali police registered an offence under Sections 326 and 34 of the IPC.
