Nagpur News : Young Star, Kamptee pipped Nagpur Range Police 3-2 in Senior Division Hockey Tournament organised by Vidarbha Hockey Association at its playfield on Tuesday.
In the girls tie, Swaminarayan blanked VTC Sports Academy 3-0. In an exciting men’s tie, Akash Kanojia gave 1-0 lead to Young Star in the 17th minute. In the 35th minute, Pravin Bhivgade restored the parity for Range Police. Ravikant Supare scored excellent field goal to put Young Star ahead. However his joy was short-lived as in the 46th minute Amol Khande equalised the score 2-2. After an equaliser both the teams battled out to score the winning goal. Finally in the 55th minute Pradip Muddemwar sounded the board and fashioned the victory for Range Police.
