Nagpur : A youth has been booked for stalking and threatening a young college girl under the jurisdiction of Sitabuldi police station. The incident took place on September 22 but the complaint was lodged on Sunday.
According to information, Ashish Tagde, a native of Narkhed blocked the way of the 18-year-old victim on September 22 while she was on her to college at around 10 am. The youth threatened the girl to talk to him or he would kill her parents. On the same day at around 5.30 pm, the girl was heading towards home after finishing here college. Ashish again stalked the girl and blocked her way with his car. He asked the girl to go with him to Futala lake and spend some time. On getting denial from the girl, Ashish again threatened to kill her parents. The girl somehow managed to escape the situation and reached home. Fearing if he would harm her parents, she kept mum till Sunday. However, she gathered courage and decided to stand for herself. Thus, she approached sitabuldi police on Sunday and lodged a complaint against Ashish.
Police have registered an offence under Sections 354 (d), and 506 of IPC and started with their investigations.
