Women journalists to be honoured on International Women’s Day at Patrakar Bhavan

Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust (TPBT) in association with Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ) will felicitate women journalists for their outstanding contribution in the profession on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Patrakar Bhavan, Dhantoli, at 4 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

Superintendent of Police (Nagpur Rural) Dr Aarti Singh, IPS, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Wives of some journalists will also be honoured for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields.

Women journalists, who will be felicitated at hands of Chief Guest Dr Aarti Singh, include Meera Tole (Tarun Bharat), Manjusha Chincholkar (The Hitavada) and  Asima Akinwar (Lokmat Samachar). Similarly, Ujwala Vishwas Indurkar and Rupali Paritosh Pramanik will be felicitated for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields.

President of Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust (TPBT) Pradip Kumar Maitra, General Secretary of Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust Shirish Borkar, President of Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ) Brahma Shankar Tripathi and General Secretary of NUWJ Anupam Soni have appealed to the members of the public in general and media-personnel in particular to attend the programme in large numbers.
