Woman robbed of gold booty worth Rs 1.30 lakh while boarding Star Bus

Nagpur: A Bhandara-based woman who had come to Nagpur along with relatives for attending a marriage ceremony was relieved of gold ornaments worth Rs 1.30 lakh by four con women when she was boarding a Star Bus near ST Bus Stand in Ganeshpeth on Wednesday. The four accused women have been booked and are being hunted by cops.

The victim, Manjusha Yashwant Chaudhary (39), resident of Ekta Colony, near Ashirvad Lawn, Sakoli, District Bhandara, along with relatives, came to Nagpur for attending marriage ceremony. Manjusha and her relatives were boarding a Pardi-Jaitala Star Bus from a stop near ST Stand in Ganeshpeth around 6.30 pm on Wednesday.

The four unidentified accused women in the age group of 40-45 years diverted attention of Manjusha and slyly pilfered her gold ornaments worth Rs 1.30 lakh kept in hand purse. The theft came to notice of Manjusha when she checked her purse while travelling in the bus. She immediately approached Ganeshpeth Police Station and lodged complaint in this connection.

API V B Wakde has booked the four accused con women under Sections 379, 34 of IPC and mounted a search to apprehend them.
