Nagpur: A woman travelling in city bus was robbed of her two mangalsutras and a gold chain worth Rs 88,400 on Friday evening.
Hemlata Ravindra Dhore (35), resident of Shrikrishna Nagar, Darshan Colony, Nandanvan was travelling in a crowded city bus standing. As the bus reached near Mokshadham Ghat, Hemlata took out her purse for ticket money but was shocked to find her two mangalsutras and a gold chain worth Rs 88,400 she had kept in the purse missing. Some miscreant(s), taking advantage of heavy rush in the bus, pilfered the gold stuff from Hemlata’s purse.
Ganeshpeth police constable Manoj has registered an offence under Section 379 of the IPC and searching for the burglars.
