A woman was killed and three others were injured critically when the car they were travelling in crashed into a stationary truck on Koradi Road in the wee hours of Saturday (September 20). Three members of a family were travelling in the ill-fated car out of which the woman died on the spot. The other injured has not yet been identified.
According to police, Sanatkumar Vishnuprasad Tiwari (45), resident of Koradi Road, near Tejaswini School, his wife Foolanbai and daughter Seema (14) and the unidentified man were returning home from Nagpur Railway Station at about 5.30 am on Saturday. All the four were seated in a Tata Magic Car (MH-32/B 767). However, Foolanbai died on the spot while the other three were rushed to Mayo Hospital where all of them are battling for life. Eye witnesses said that both the car driver and the truck driver were equally responsible for the fatal accident.

PSI Kendre has booked both drivers under Sections 279, 337, 304(A) of the IPC and probing the matter further. No arrests were made till the report was filed.
