Nagpur: A middle-aged woman from the Koradi area was charred to death under mysterious circumstances in the kitchen of her house on Monday.
The deceased, Ranjana Ashok Bambade (45), was a resident of Suradevi near Boudh Vihar. Ranjana returned home from work around 6 pm. Around 7.30 pm, her husband Ashok Baliram Bambade (52) also returned home and saw thick smoke emanating from the kitchen. He with the help of local residents doused the flames and found his wife lying motionless on the floor with burns. He rushed Ranjana to Mayo Hospital where the doctors declared her ‘brought dead’ on admission.
Koradi Police registered an accidental death case and started investigation.
