Nagpur: Some parts of Vidarbha, including Nagpur, will experience light showers on February 25 and 26, which is likely to reduce the maximum temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
The weather is likely to change due to moisture formation. While there will be light showers in some parts of the region, the rest of Vidarbha will experience partially cloudy weather on these two days, said a meteorologist. However, there will be a rise in maximum temperature after February 26.
Vidarbha region is witnessing a steady rise in maximum temperature over the last few days. On Tuesday, Yavatmal recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.0 degrees Celsius, Akola (36.1 degrees Celsius), and Wardha (36.0 degrees Celsius) recorded the day temperature above 36 degrees mark.
Buldhana had the lowest maximum temperature at 33.4 degrees Celsius; while Amravati (34.0 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (35.2 degrees Celsius), Gadchiroli (33.6 degrees Celsius), Gondia (33.5 degrees Celsius), Nagpur (35.2 degrees Celsius), and Washim (35.4 degrees Celsius) experienced above normal temperature.
Wardha, on Tuesday, recorded the highest minimum temperature with 19.5 degrees Celsius. Other parts of Vidarbha were below 18.0 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature will increase in the coming days, said the IMD.
