A newly-married woman on Wednesday committed suicide by consuming a poisonous stuff after learning extramarital affairs of her husband.
According to reports, the victim has been identified as Sonali Borkar, a resident of Rampeth in the jurisdiction of Lakadganj Police Station. The relatives of Sonali said that she had come to know about her husband’s affairs with another woman recently. Disturbed by the development, Sonali took the extreme step by consuming a poisonous substance at about 5 am on Wednesday in her house itself.
Sonali had got married just three months ago. Her brother said that before committing suicide, Sonali would have informed them but she did not tell anything about her step. Now, Lakadganj police are investigating the matter from all angles.
