Nagpur: A dispute over partnership in a jewellery shop led to a woman getting assaulted by a group of nine persons. The woman received severe injuries in the attack. Also her scooter was hurled and damaged by the accused. The incident took place in Sitabuldi jurisdiction on Monday evening.
The complainant, Priti Prakash Manruwar (58), resident of Sitabuldi Main Road, is partner in Suvarnapurse Jewellery Shop. The nine accused named Minni Kuldipchand Chavan (54), Usha Omprakash Dubey (40), Shila Ghanshyam Dubey (48), Shirish Harichandra Bhosale (44), Jitendra Chandraprakash Tiwari and four other unidentified persons also partners in the jewellery shop. The accused Jitendra Tiwari is Manager of the bullion shop. A dispute erupted between the complainant and the nine accused over some issue.
Subsequently, Priti objected to opening of the shop around 6.45 pm on Monday. Enraged by Priti’s objection, the nine accused tried to break open lock of the shop. They also assaulted Priti and thrashed her severely. The accused also doled out threats to Priti and damaged her scooter.
Sitabuldi PSI Chaudhary has booked all the accused under Sections 183, 147, 149, 323, 504, 506, 427 of the IPC. Further probe is on.
