Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hits at snapping ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“We are maintaining ‘Mitra Dharma’ with the BJP but if it does not want to continue with the alliance, we will go on our own,” Naidu was quoted as saying by a news agency.
Naidu heads the Telugu Desam Party which is a National Democratic Alliance partner.
The BJP is also the junior ally of the TDP in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu’s statement comes after he was criticised by some state BJP leaders.
