Nagpur: 28th Coal India Inter Company Power Lifting, Weight Lifting and Body Building Competition was organized at Durgapur Auditorium of Chandrapur Area of WCL from 14th to 16th March 2018. All subsidiary companies of Coal India participated in this competition including team of Singreni Collieries Company Limited ( SCCL).
The concluding and prize distribution programme was organized in the presence of Chief Guest Rajiv R. Mishra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director. Mishra congratulated all participants for showing sporting spirit. Mishra said that sports inculcate discipline in everybody. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel) also addressed the gathering.
WCL emerged as winner with 191 points, whereas SECL was declared runner up with 171 points in this competition. Sumita Laha was declared Coal India’s Strong Woman. Strong Man of Coal India title went to Bijendra Singh of SECL, Best Lifter of Coal India title went to Tribhuvan Lal of WCL. S.N.Nath of MCL was declared Coal India.
Welcome address was given by Chandrapur Area General Manager, A. C. Singh. On this occasion, Director (Technical) B. K. Mishra, Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, members of Steering Committee / Welfare Board – S Ramesh Ballewar, C.J. Joseph, H.S. Beig, Sudhir Ghurde, Kameshwar Rai and all Area General Managers and officials of Wardha Valley were present. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
