Nagpur: Wathoda police have arrested three persons in connection with a burglary and three vehicle theft cases in the area. Police have recovered three stolen motorcycles, an Activa allegedly used in the crimes and silver ornaments, with the total value of the seized property estimated at around ₹2.10 lakh.

According to police, a burglary was reported on the night of August 20 at a locked house belonging to Pranay Chaure in Devshree Nagar, Kharbi. The accused allegedly broke open the lock and fled with cash and silver ornaments.

During the investigation, police obtained technical leads and detained Mohammad Danish Ali, Syed Salman and Mohammad Arshad alias minor Sajid Sheikh for questioning.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to the burglary and admitted to stealing three motorcycles from the Wathoda police station area.

Based on their information, police recovered the three stolen motorcycles, the Activa allegedly used during the offences and silver ornaments. The total value of the recovered property is estimated at ₹2.10 lakh.

The police action has helped uncover four offences. Further investigation into the case is underway.
