Water supply to dozens of areas in the city is likely to be affected on May 12 (Tuesday) as the Pench Project Cell of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is carrying out Interconnection at Sardar Patel Square that day, said MLA Sudhakar Kohale and Chairman of Standing Committee Ramesh Shingare while addressing a press conference on Saturday.
They further said that the interconnection work on Omkar Nagar Feeder Main is being undertaken for further strengthening of water supply system of East Nagpur especially Hanuman Nagar, Vakilpeth, Siraspeth, Reshimbagh, Somwaripeth and Untkhana. This work will affect water supply to the Command Areas of Omkar Nagar, Mhalgi Nagar and Reshimbagh ESRs. In this, the Hanuman Nagar Feeder main will be interconnected at Sardar patel Square. The work will commence after the morning supply and is expected to take 12 hours time to complete.

Reshimbagh ESR:
Om Nagar, Shiv Nagar, Bhagat Colony, Mahavir Nagar, Anand Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Old Nandanwan, Kabir Nagar, Sudampuri ,Raghuji Nagar, Somwaripeth, Some Part Of Reshimbag and Siraspeth.
NMC-OCW has appealed residents of the above areas to store sufficient water and co-operate during the works.
Other officials who were present at the press conference include Executive Engineer Shyam Chavan and Deputy Engineer of Water Works Department R D Jadhav.
