Watch: Father of Suspected ISI agent in Nagpur says “My Son is innocent”

Nagpur: Denying all the severe accusation, Dr Pradeep Agrawal told media personnel that his son Nishant is innocent. However he did mention that despite the fact that he does not have complete information regarding this matter but as his father he will do everything possible to save him.

Nishant Agarwal, an engineer working with the BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd (BAPL)’s missile research centre in Nagpur was arrested from his rented house in Ujjwal Nagar on Monday for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and other countries.

On Tuesday, the Nagpur Sessions Court granted Nishant’s three days transit remand to Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS).

The Aerospace engineer was a graduate from NIT, Kurukshetra and a gold medalist. He was employed at a BrahMos production centre in the city since last four years.

Two of his colleagues are also under the scanner. Official sources said, the DRDO employee had used a “coded game” to send important information to ISI agents in Pakistan.

The BrahMos is a medium-range supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarine, ships, aircraft, or land. It is the fastest cruise missile in the world.
