Bollywood actor Vidya Balan is all set to make her Telugu debut, a biopic based on the life of the legendary actor, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao popularly known as NTR. The actor is currently in Hyderabad shooting for the film and has recently met the family members of NT Rama Rao.
On this occasion, Lokeswari, the eldest daughter of NTR has presented Vidya, a saree which is part of Telugu tradition and right from NTR, the Nandamuri family have continued this tradition. Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vasundhara Devi, second daughter Tejwasini and her husband, Sri Bharat were also present during Vidya’s visit.
In the biopic, Vidya will be essaying the role of NTR’s first wife, who passed away of cancer in 1985. During Vidya’s interaction with the Nandamuri family, she collected information on Basavatarakam body language, favourite hobbies etc.
The National award-winning actor has joined the sets on Wednesday and the shoot is taking place at designed sets in Ramoji Film City. Vidya will be seen in a new look for her role and more details of it will soon be revealed.
The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi while Nandamuri Balakrishna is producing it under the banners NBK films Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri. The biopic is expected to hit the silver screens during the first half of 2019. According to reports, the film revolves around NTR’s days as a government employee and how he entered the film industry and then went on to become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
