Nagpur: VIBGYOR World Academy commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with the inspiring theme, “India @ 80: From Freedom to Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” The celebration brought together students, teachers, parents and school leadership to honour the nation’s journey and reflect on its vision for the future.
The event was graced by Lt Col Abhishek Mishra, who attended as the Chief Guest, along with Dr. Ashish Sharma, Acting Head of School, members of the school leadership, teachers, parents and learners.

The programme began with the Student Council March, followed by the Flag Hoisting, National Anthem and National Pledge. Students also presented vibrant patriotic performances that reflected the spirit of freedom, unity and national pride.
As part of the celebrations, learners reflected on India’s journey towards becoming a developed, inclusive, sustainable and self-reliant nation by 2047. Through their participation, they highlighted the importance of values such as responsibility, innovation, integrity and service in shaping the country’s future.
A special Independence Day Art Exhibition was also organised, showcasing the creative perspectives of learners on the India they aspire to inherit and help build. The exhibition offered a glimpse into their hopes and ideas for a progressive and responsible India.
The celebration reinforced VIBGYOR World Academy’s commitment to nurturing informed, principled and socially responsible global citizens who can contribute meaningfully to the nation and the wider world.
The event concluded with a powerful message: “Freedom was won through courage. The future will be built through responsibility and innovation.”
