Nagpur: VIA Lady Entrepreneurs Wing organized a two day event recently to celebrate the International Women’s day at VIA Hall.
The first day programme included a contest for upcoming women entrepreneurs titled “Show your Entrepreneurial talent”. This contest was to provide the contestants to exhibit their products and a presentation on their business describing the working of their unit and minute details of their production, marketing etc. As many as 22 enthusiastic women participated. The contest was judged by a a three judge panel comprising of Dr. Suganda Garwey, Director of Anacon Laboratory. Anita Rao Past Chairperson LEW and Sapna Saxena of VLCC Health Care Centre.
The second day celebrations witnessed a presentation International Women’s Day by Prafullata Rode, Past Chairperson LEW. She traced the progress of this important day since its beginning
Vilasni Nair, President of Nagpur Mahila Club, was the chief guest of the evening. Addressing the entrepreneurs she complimented the LEW for promoting women entrepreneurs in the region She encouraged and motivated the women entrepreneurs with her inspiring words. Sarla Kamdar Founder Chairperson LEW offered a floral welcome to Nair.
This was followed by a play enacted by the Executive Committee of LEW on the theme ”Women Entrepreneurship”, highlighting importance of entrepreneurship and the role of organizations like LEW, in bringing about the desired changes in the life of a working women. This was highly appreciated by one and all present.
On 14th March’2016, VIA LEW also celebrated International Women’s Day, Vilasini Nair, President of Nagpur Mahila Club was the Chief Guest. Earlier she was given a floral welcome by Mrs. Sarla Kamdar, Founder Chairperson of VIA LEW.
Madhubala Singh, Past Chairperson, VIA-LEW highlighted the criteria for selecting the winners for the contest organized for the Best Lady entrepreneur. Divya Ashish Ahuja Director & Designer Johara Jewels Pvt Ltd, bagged the Best Lady Entrepreneur Award. In the category of “Show your Entrepreneurial Talent contest the first prize was bagged by Minal Khedkar, the firsr runner up was Honey Tripathi and the second runner up was shared by Aboli Sonole and Rashmi Ambulkar. The awards were given to winners at the hands of the Chief Guest.
Earlier Rashmi Kulkarni, Winner for last year shared her experience about her association with VIA LEW and how it has helped her in her business.
The winners shared their experience with one and all present there. LEW also felicitated past Chairperson, Y. Ramani Past Chairpersonfor her achievements through the hands of past Chairperson, Sarita Pawar. A cancer survival 71 year old lady P.D. Sharma was also felicitated for her will power to defeat the cancer. The Program was conducted by Vice president Reeta Lanjewar and vote of thanks was given by Secretary, Shachi Mallick.
