
Nagpur: In a major breakthrough, the Sonegaon Police have arrested two youths involved in vehicle theft and recovered three stolen motorcycles worth around Rs 1.10 lakh. The operation has sent a strong warning to vehicle thieves operating in the area.
According to police sources, between 10 pm on October 27 and 8 am on October 28, 2025, a black Royal Enfield Bullet (MH-49-AD-6333) was stolen from Jaykara Society, Sonral, Nagpur. Acting on the complaint, a team led by PSI Yuvraj Suryawanshi began an investigation under the supervision of Police Constable Mangesh Gadge.
During the probe, the police arrested two suspects, Saurav Dinesh Gode (22) and Dhanraj Ajay Akkalwar (19), both residents of Ghatanji, Yavatmal. On interrogation, the accused revealed information about another stolen bike, a black Honda Shine (TS-13-EN-9029), which they had hidden under a tree in the Amrai area near the Airport. A police team immediately raided the spot and seized the vehicle.
In total, the police recovered three motorcycles, including a silver Honda Shine (MH-29-CE-4736) and the black Royal Enfield Bullet, collectively valued at approximately Rs 1.10 lakh.
The operation was carried out by officers Karatkar, Rajesh, and their team. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Constable Mangesh Gadge of Sonegaon Police Station.
