Nagpur News : The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) started its rehabilitation work (changing of pipelines) from Bastarwadi proposed-II, Part- A command area (Dhammadeep Nagar Prabhag-14) for implementation of ambitious uninterrupted water supply project on Tuesday,January 29.
NMC water works committee chairman, Mr Sudhakar Kohale, corporators from Dhammadeep Nagar prabhag- (former Mayor and NMC Octroi Committee chairman) Mr Kishor Dorle, Mr Ramaji Uike, Mr Ramesh Singare and prominent citizens from the area performed puja and bhoomipujan (ground breaking) of the rehabilitation project at Dadu Mahajan Vyamshala, Near Pola Maidan,
Binaki Mangalwari at a function attended by Satranjipura zone chairman Mr Kalpak Bhanarkar and prominent citizens of Dhammadeep Nagar prabhag.
It may be mentioned here, with addition of Bastarwadi proposed-II, Part- A command area (Dhammadeep Nagar prabhag) from today and Dhantoli ESR command area recently now changing of pipelines activity under ambitious uninterrupted water supply project is going on in full swing in almost 12 command areas including Nandanvan, Shantinagar, Binaki, Deshpande LayOut, Bazonbagh, Wanjari Nagar, Boriyapura Feeder, Boriyapura ESR,Reshimbagh, Nandanvan proposed ESR and Gandhibagh prabhag (Sitabuld Fort-1).
At Bastarwadi proposed-II, Part- A command area (Dhammadeep Nagar prabhag), OCW has also set up a ‘Water House’ for the consumers of area to address to their complaints about works related issues like digging of roads, restoration etc. Consumers can register their complaints at Water House No 9225347589.
Along with Water House, NMC-OCW has also started taking Mohalla Sabhas,make Water Friends in Dhammadeep Nagar prabhag and will also maintain communication and publicity especially before starting of work to listen tothe complaints related with rehabilitation work. For other water related issues NMC-OCW has also started its ‘24×7 Call Centre’ to address citizensvproblems and complaints in entire city with a Toll Free Helpline- No 1800-266-9899.
