Nagpur: Two youth were killed in two separate road mishaps in the city. The deceased youth are identified as Ganesh Mahurkar aged 24 years and Sulabh Mishra aged 19 years.
According to police sources, one of the deceased Ganesh Mahurkar aged 24 years and a resident of Wathoda Ring Road was going somewhere on his two-wheeler bearing RTO registration No MP-50/ MD-5387 on November 3, 2016. When he was near Kohinoor Lawns in Nandanwan area, some unidentified Car rammed into his two-wheeler and fled the spot.
The victim Ganesh Mahurkar was critically injured in the mishap. He was rushed to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (Mayo Hospital) where he was undergoing treatment. However, Ganesh Mahurkar died while undergoing treatment in Mayo Hospital on November 6, 2016.
On receipt of information Woman Police Sub Inspector Kulmethe of Nandanwan Police Station reached the spot. On the basis of a complaint from Premlal Mahurkar a resident of Salteka (Balaghat), Woman Police Sub Inspector Kulmethe of Nandanwan Police Station has registered a case against unidentified car driver and has initiated an investigation in this regard.
The second road mishap occurred in Gittikhadan area. The deceased Sulabh Mishra aged 19 years, son of Rajesh Mishra a resident of Hazaripahad was returning home on his two-wheeler bearing RTO registration No MH-31/ DS-7549 on November 6, 2016. When the deceased youth was Gorewada Canal, suddenly another youth identified as Sachin Nachule riding a Honda Activa bearing RTO registration No MH-31/ CF-7383 came and rammed into his two-wheeler in a head-on collision.
Both the youth Sulabh and Sachin were grievously injured in the mishap. Both the youth were rushed to a private hospital in Borgaon where they were undergoing treatment. However, Sulabh Mishra died at around 2:30 am while undergoing treatment.
On receipt of information, Police Sub Inspector S Wakde of Gittikhadan Police Station rushed to the spot and has since registered a case against Honda Activa rider Sachin. Further investigations are underway.
