Nagpur:
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Surface Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday (July 29) released two postal stamps on the occasion of World Tiger’s Day. The postal stamps are based on the amazing image of a tigress caressing her cub in Vidarbha’s Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. The tigress and her cub were clicked by Amol Bais, a wildlife photographer of Chandrapur, while he was en route his jungle safari in the forests of the tiger reserve in January 2016.

The State Forest Ministry had selected the photograph and sent it to the Central Government with a request to release postal stamps based on the stunning posture on International Tiger’s Day. The Central Government accepted the request gleefully and dedicated two postal stamps today. The two prized postal stamps are in the denomination of Rs 5 and Rs 25.
