Nagpur: Lakadganj and Jaripatka police arrested two examinees on the charges of cheating and resorting to other malpractices while appearing for Railway Recruitment Examination in Nagpur on Sunday (November 23).

According to police, in the first incident, the accused Sheikh Balibur Rehman Sheikh Faizuddin (25), native of Bhusawal, had come to Nagpur for appearing in Group D paper of Railway Recruitment Cell, Mumbai. While giving the exam at Room No. 206, VMV College, Wardhaman Nagar, Nagpur, the accused Sheikh Balibur Rehman Sheikh Faizuddin was found indulging in copying by using Bluetooth device of a pen-like tool kept near him. The Invigilator Ashitosh Kailas Kumar (34), resident of Railway Quarter No. 54/3, Ajni, Nagpur lodged a complaint with Lakadganj Police Station in this connection.

Lakadganj PSI Rathod booked the accused Sheikh Balibur Rehman Sheikh Faizuddin under Section 468 of the IPC and Sub-Sections 7, 8, of the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, University Act and Other Examinations Act and arrested him.

In the second incident, the accused Santoshkumar Singh Yugalkishore Singh (29), native of Bhagalpur (Bihar), had come to Nagpur for appearing for the same Railway exam. The centre of examination was Room No. 5, Nagsen Vidyalaya near Number 10 Bridge, Jaripatka, Nagpur. However, the accused impersonated his brother Chhotu Singh and appeared for the exam in his name. The accused, in a well-planned manner, showed Chhotu Singh’s presence at the exam centre by sticking his thumb impression chip in the exam document. However, the cheating came to the notice of the Invigilator Ravind Singh Hansnarayan Singh (working in Central Railway DRM’s office). Subsequently, he lodged a complaint with Jaripatka Police Station in this regard.

Jaripatka API Niswade booked the accused Santoshkumar Singh Yugalkishore Singh under Sections 420, 419, 466 of the IPC and arrested him.
