Couple robbed of booty worth Rs 1,20,300

Nagpur: Two motorcycle borne youths robbed a couple of cash Rs 4,000, gold-silver jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables collectively worth Rs 1,20,300 on Sunday night. The incident occurred in Motibagh area of the city. The two accused youths have been booked.

According to police, the victims, Tanvir Ashok Sharma (29) and his wife Puja, residents of Plot No. 4, Kailas Apartment, Lal Godam Square, Kamptee Road, Nagpur were going to a temple on their Pilsar Motorcycle. When both Tanvir and Puja were passing through Motibagh Railway Line Road, the two accused youths, in the age group of 20-25 years, riding on a black-coloured Hero Honda Splendour motorcycle, came from behind and snatched a marooned colour bag from Puja and speeded away. The bag contained cash of Rs 4,000, gold-silver jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables collectively worth Rs 1,20,300.

Pachpaoli API Gaekwad, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Tanvir Sharma, booked the two accused youths under Sections 392, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
