Nagpur News: In a shocking development, two men resorted to fisticuffs with a policeman who was taking body of a murdered youth to Government Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem.
According to police, one Sachin Gawande was murdered in Budhwari Bazaar area in the night. Constable Bhimrao Raut, who was on patrolling duty in Control Room vehicle Tata Sumo (MH-31/AG 9477), heard about the murder in Budhwari Bazaar. He immediately rushed to the spot and found Sachin Gawande murdered by two men. After preliminary enquiry and paper works, Bhimrao put body of Sachin into Sumo and proceeded towards Government Hospital for post-mortem of Sachin at about 11-15 pm.
However, when Raut reached the mortuary of the hospital, the two accused Raju aka Bunti Ramdas Thawre (32), a resident of Bhande Plot and Mahesh Pradeep Wagh (28), a resident of Kabir Nagar, Nagpur, abused him with choicest words. The accused even held Constable Bhimrao Raut’s collar and resorted to fisticuffs. They even doled out a life threat to Raut.
After the incident, Raut lodged a complaint against the accused at Ajni Police Station. Acting on Raut’s complaint , PSI Patil arrested both Raju aka Bunti Ramdas Thawre and Mahesh Pradeep Wagh under Sections 353, 332, 186, 294, 506 (B), 323, 34 of IPC.
