Two men killed, 2 others injured as car rams road divider on Nagpur Saoner Road

Nagpur: In a ghastly road mishap, two men were killed and two others were injured seriously when the car they were travelling in crashed on a road divider on Nagpur-Saoner Highway in the wee hours of Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Amarsingh (30), native of Lucknow (UP) and Mohd Idris. The two seriously injured are Rahul Ashok Mehra (40), resident of D/75, Fourth Bungalow, Andheri West, Mumbai and his friend Hardik Patel.

The men were travelling in Hyundai Creta Car (MH-02/EE 8506) and were going towards Saoner from Nagpur around 0130 hours of Monday. As the car reached near Ashok Vatika Restaurant on the Highway, Amarsingh, who was driving the car, lost control over steering and rammed the road divider with forceful impact. As a result, the four occupants of the car suffered grievous injuries. While Amarsingh and Mohd Idris died on the spot, Rahul Mehra and his friend Hardik Patel were shifted to a hospital where their condition is stated to be serious. On being informed, a team of Koradi police reached the spot and started investigations.

Koradi Woman PSI Tarade has booked the deceased driver Amarsingh under Sections 279, 338, 304(A) of the IPC on the basis of statement of Rahul Mehra.
