Nagpur: Two lewd men were booked for outraging modesty of two minor girls in separate incidents reported on Sunday.In the first incident, the accused Dinesh Kohad, residing in Pachpaoli area, on Sunday around 6.30 pm, called a 14-year old girl who was playing in front of her house and gave her Rs 5 for purchasing bidis for him. When the girl came back with bidis, the accused Dinesh was sitting in her house.
As she entered her house, Dinesh closed door from inside and molested her by indulging in vulgar acts. The accused also threatened the minor girl of dire consequences if she opened her mouth.However, the victimised girl narrated the nasty acts of the accused to her parents who in turn told her to register a case with police.
Pachpaoli API C B Chavan has booked the accused Dinesh Kohad under Sections 354, 504 of the IPC read with Section 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further probe is underway.Similarly, an 8-year old girl was molested by an aged shopkeeper in Manish Nagar on Sunday night.
The kid girl was returning home after urination outside around 9 pm. The accused Rameshwar Shrawan Javanjal (58), resident of Kausallya Nagar, Kukde Layout, Ajni and runs a shop in Manish Nagar, called the girl to his shop and molested her by resorting to obscene acts. The girl later related the incident to her parents who lodged a complaint with Beltarodi police in this regard.
API R S Hanvate has booked the accused Rameshwar Javanjal under Section 354 of the IPC read with Sections 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and investigating the matter further.
