Nagpur News : Two labourers died and two others sustained serious injuries after the concrete water tank collapsed upon them at the construction site of multi-storied residential project Godrej Anandam at Ganeshpeth .
The tank was built for the labourers working at the site. Islam Sheikh, 38 and Rabin Sheikh, 22 succumbed to their injuries on the spot while the other two have been admitted to theGovernmentMedicalHospitalwhere the condition of both was reported to be critical.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the tragedy took place while the labourers were working under the tank. Quite a resentment has been seen among the labourers following the incident. They alleged the contractor had used low quality construction material in building the tank. A close examination of the debris revealed that there was no iron used with the concrete mix.
