Two injured in road mishap near Narendra Nagar; lady critical

: On January 9, 2015 at around 2:30 pm, a truck hit a two-wheeler on which a youth was taking a 50 year-old female relative. The onlookers had taken both the injured to some hospital.

According to eye-witnesses, the truck bearing RTO registration No CG-04/ JA 5377 was going towards Shrinagar from Narendranagar. The injured identified as Shivdhan Sahare aged 27 years along with a female relative Nalini Fulzhele aged 50 years was also going in the same direction, on his Hero Honda Splendour MH-31/ CU 1056. Onlookers said that the two-wheeler rider was trying to overtake some vehicle and in the process was hit by the truck from the rear.

Both the two-wheeler riders were injured in the mishap. The on-lookers had acted fast and had moved them to some hospital.

On receipt of the news of an accident, the Police Control Room had informed the Ajni Police Station to reach the spot since the spot falls under their jurisdiction. However, when the cops of the Ajni Police Station reached the spot, they found the injured missing. Nobody on the spot could inform them where they had taken the injured. They took the truck and the motorcycle in their custody.

The cops rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital and searched every year but could not trace the injured of the road mishap. Finally after a lot of searching, the cops found out that the injured were taken to Orange City Hospital and Research Centre.

Land-line of Ajni Police Station out of order for past two days

Top add to the already hot soup in which they are, the land-lines of Ajni Police Station  0712-2746555 & 0712-2706361 is out of order for past two days. Almost all the reporters and those who had called the Ajni Police Station heard no response on these two numbers. However, when Nagpur Today called the In-Charge Police Inspector of Ajni Police Station PI L G Dumre, he informed that the land-line of Ajni Police Station is out of order for the past two days and in-spite of registering the complaint, BSNL has not repaired their land-line as yet. He then asked Nagpur Today to call the second PI Pawar for information on the accident.

Second PI Pawar said that Police Sub Inspector More has reached the accident spot and then to Orange City Hospital. He informed that the while the youth is recovering the condition of the 50-year-old female relative is critical.

Till the time of filing the news, the police were yet to register their statements. However, the ill-fated truck and the motorcycle have been taken into custody of the Ajni Police Station and the driver of the truck has since been arrested after registering a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
