BOE acts tough on 25 teachers, Principals & other heads for their ‘answer-paper blunder’

Nagpur: Acting tough, the Board Of Examination (BOE) of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University has debarred services of 25 teachers, Principals and heads of educational institutes for their major blunder during an examination last year. The blunder concerns to opening of wrong question paper packet that ultimately led to postponement of the paper.

In a meeting held on Friday, the BOE not only debarred the services of these 25 teachers, Principals and heads of educational institutes but decided recover penalties from them towards the unnecessary expenses incurred due to the blunder. The BOE meeting hammered out 40 matters pertaining to Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) pending since 2010.

During the meeting the BOE also assured installation of CCTV cameras and deployment of security guards in Examination Department. The assurance is in the utmost interest of students and immense sensitiveness of the department. The meeting also approved the examination system including valuation of answer-papers totally through online. According to experts, the online system will resolve the problem of delay in valuation of answer-papers. The PhD work will also go online. Similarly, by making the research-related works online the researchers would be saved from visiting the university frequently.
