Two goons demand extortion money from a doctor, threaten to kill wife, son

Nagpur: In an outrageous incident, a goon, who posed himself as a policeman, and his one accomplice frequently rang up a doctor and demanded extortion money with the force of threat of killing his wife and son. However, when the doctor was carrying a plastic bag, the goons assumed it to be having extortion money and snatched it. But the bag contained only a mobile phone worth Rs 10,000. Cops have booked the accused extortionists and launched a hunt to nab them.

The complainant Dr Mohan Natthuji Nerkar, resident of Flat No. C/1202, Godrej Anand, Model Mill, Ganeshpeth, told police that he received frequent calls from the accused named Prince, who posed himself as a policeman and having mobile phone number 9197330709 and his accomplice named Tony, who posed as Goldie’s brother, over a period from 25-1-2016 to 12-2-2016. Both the accused demanded extortion money with the force of a threat to kill his wife and son. When Dr Nerkar was carrying a plastic bag and was walking near hospital named Dr Nerkar Hospital situated at Plot No. 158, Ayurvedic College Layout, the two goons assumed the bag contained the extortion money and snatched the bag and fled away. But the bag contained a mobile phone worth Rs 10,000.

Sakkardara API Fulakwar, acting on a complaint filed by Dr Nerkar, has booked the accused Prince and Tony under Sections 384, 385, 504, 506, 34 of IPC and launched a hunt to nab them.
