Nagpur: Three minor girls went missing and reportedly kidnapped from different areas of the city. Cops have mounted a massive search to trace the girls as well as alleged abductors.

In the first incident, a 16-year old girl, resident of Kalamna area left home around 7 pm on Thursday on the pretext of buying a book from nearby shop. However, the girl did not return home even after lapse of a considerable time setting panic in her family. A frantic search to trace the girl proved futile and hence a missing complaint was lodged by the girl’s parents with Kalamna police.

Similarly, a Kotwali-based 13-year old girl went missing after she left her home for going to Xerox shop at about 7.30 pm on Friday. Since then the girl has not returned home. A missing case has been registered with Kotwali police.

Acting on the respective complaints, Kalamna, Kotwali and Jaripatka police, following directives of Supreme Court that if any minor girl or boy goes missing then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, have registered offences under Section 363 of IPC and mounted a massive search to trace the missing three kids and the abductors as well.
