Two employees of Jindal Spring Co booked for pocketing Rs 45,00,000 by fraudulent means

MIDC police have booked two employees of a company on the charges of misappropriation of Rs 45 lakh by fraudulent means and breach of trust.

According to police, the accused Ajay Dandekar and Shravan Thakre were working in Jindal Auto Spring Company, situated in MIDC and owned by Ratankumar Ramkumar Jindal (64), resident of Plot No. 232, Old Bagadganj Layout, Shastri Nagar Square, Nandanvan. However, both the accused in connivance with each other, indulged in a modus operandi to cheat the company in the period from 01.04.2014 to 25.08.2014. Both Ajay Dandekar and Shrawan Thakre lifted the goods well and above the orders but recorded the goods in less quantity on official papers. Moreover, both the accused deposited the amount in the company toward less quantity of goods and pocketed the remaining money for their own use by selling the extra goods in market. With this fraudulent means, both the accused sold 65 metric tonnes of spring belts directly in the market and misappropriated Rs 45,00,000. The illegal deals amounted to cheating of the company and a breach of trust.

MIDC Assistant Police Inspector Shirurkar, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Ratankumar Ramkumar Jindal, has booked the accused Ajay Dandekar and Shravan Thakre under Sections 408, 381, 34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
