25 RPF jawans to don blue hat at rly station to help passengers on Dhammachakra Day

Nagpur: Even as the city gears up to welcome hordes of Buddist followers who are expected to throng Deekshabhoomi here on Dussehra Day, also called as Dhammachakra Pravartan Din in the communtiy, the railways have also stepped up arrangements for the convenience of fellow travellers.

Nagpur Railway Administration has come up with a unique idea of deploying RPF jawans with blue hats in the railway premises so that the devotees can seek help from them in a better way. 25 of the RPF jawans are appointed with blue hats in Nagpur who will promote law enforcement among adherents.

As the usual trend around this season goes, many followers face great deal of inconvenience while travelling towards Nagpur owing to the jam-packed trains. More often many followers often had no choice but to sit on the floor near staircase. By doing so, they not only risk their lives but also their act is also considered as serious offence as per Railway act.

Many others crowd the doors of coaches too which makes it even more inconvenient to fellow passengers. Even the TTE prohibits such behaviors of passenger however they do not pay much attention to it.
