Truck driver swindles Amazon Company’s goods worth Rs 57.65 lakh

Nagpur: In a deceitful act, a trailer truck driver swindled goods of Amazon Company to the tune of Rs 57.65 lakh. Moreover, the accused also disposed off the vehicle for Rs 8 lakh. Sonegaon police have booked the accused driver and hunting him.

The complainant, Santosh Gulabrao Shendre (40), resident of Plot No. 938, Ramnagar Telangkhedi, told police that he runs a company named TCI Company in MIHAN. On Sunday around 7 pm, he had asked the accused trailer truck (MH-40/N 7533) driver Sudarshan Manik Meshram (29) of Brahmapuri, Chandrapur, to unload Amazon Company’s carious goods and boxes worth Rs 57.65 lakh at Cotton Market. However, in an act amounting to breach of trust, the accused driver swindled the goods for his own benefit. Moreover, the accused Sudarshan Meshram even disposed off the trailer truck for Rs 8 lakh and thus deceived Santosh Shendre collectively to the tune of Rs 65.65 lakh.

Sonegaon PSI Darade, based on Shendre’s complaint, booked the accused driver Sudarshan Meshram under Section 408 of the IPC and hunting him.
